The MediPurpose MediPlus-Foam Ag Dressing is a soft, elastic wound dressing designed to provide a physical barrier between the wound and external environments. It contains silver ions to inhibit bacterial growth within the dressing, assisting in the prevention of bacterial contamination of the wound.Features Composed of breathable, polyurethane foam sandwiched between an outer layer of breathable, polyurethane film and wound-contacting polyethylene net. Contains silver metal ions (Ag+) to inhibit bacterial growth in the dressing. Contains 79 ppm of elemental silver bound within the wound dressing. Outer film acts as a bacterial barrier. Soft, breathable outside film provides moisture vapor transmission from the foam layer for exudates management. Absorbent and conformable pad. Wound contact layer is laminated PE net, preventing sticking to wounds. Individually packed in peel pouch and EO sterilized. ApplicationsDesigned for use in clinical settings where wound management and prevention of bacterial contamination are required.
